Spring

Finalmente os dias de Inverno estão a chegar ao fim. 
Não quis deixar de assinalar esta mudança de estação aqui no blog. Mas acontece que passei horas nisto, confesso.
Poderia ter mudado uma ou outra coisa mas...não. Depois de varias pesquisas e consultas, voltas e mais voltas.Fazer, correr mal, voltar a fazer.... enfim,  finalmente tenho as barras de separadores, na parte superior do blog.

I meant to mark the change of season here on the blog. But it happens that I spent hours on this, I confess.

Depois de analisar muito bem a minha colecção , reparei que havia um iten em falta....

Pus mãos à obra, pesquisa de lojas de acessórios para comprar os alfinetes, buscas na net. Enquanto isso no atelier a modelagem das flores a sua pintura, estudo de embalagens.

Eis que finalmente e depois de varias tentativas frustradas de conseguir fazer uma foto no exterior SEM CHUVA, o sol fez uma breve visita e aqui estão elas.

My bowl of the flower was again included in a beautiful treasury. This time it was the talented ArzuMusa, who made this magnificent treasury. Take a look.

Tomorrow I will spend part of my day taking pictures of my new work. I will bring new decorative items and jewelry. For me all phases of work are important since the design of the item to your package (I who create and perform).

Não resisti em vos mostrar as fotos dos próximos brincos.

Tirei hoje as peças do forno e os vidros ficaram lindíssimos.

Acho que por muitos anos que trabalhe com cerâmica, nunca hei-de perder a animação e a excitação de abrir a mufla. É sempre uma surpresa.

Hoje a surpresa foram estas lindas peçinhas para brincos, que amanha farei e colocarei na loja.

I could not resist to show you the photos of the pieces for earrings. Today I took the beads of clay from the oven and the glazes were beautiful. I think for many years working with ceramics, I will never lose the excitement and thrill of the open kiln. It's always a surprise. Today the surprise were these beautiful beads for earrings, and that tomorrow I will put it in the shop.

O trabalho no atelier / The work in the studio

A minha ausência é explicada por estas imagens . Estas são apenas algumas das peças que fiz em atelier nos últimos dias.

A sensação quando entro é que cheguei ao meu pequeno jardim.

Existem mais peças novas e embalagens, que modéstia á parte, ficaram lindas.

Estou na fase da montagem e acabamentos, que por vezes demoram tanto tempo quanto a execução da peça em si. Mas a satisfação de ver a peça concluída supera qualquer coisa.

Espero nos próximos dias conseguir postar mais imagens até porque tenho realmente muitas peças novas.

My absence is explained by these images. These are just some of the pieces I did in the studio in recent days. The feeling when I enter the studio I have come to a small garden, full of color. I have more new items and packages that are beautiful. I assemble the necklaces and earrings and the final finish, which sometimes takes as long as the execution of the piece itself. But the satisfaction of seeing the finished piece surpasses anything. I hope in the coming days be able to post more pictures up because I have really many new items.

Esta manha sai para dar um passeio com o meu filhote, e mesmo em frente á casa tinha nascido esta pequena e fragil papoila. É impossível ficar indiferente á beleza das formas mais simples.

This morning, leave home for a walk with my son, and even in front of the house was born this small and fragile poppy. It is impossible to remain indifferent to the beauty of the simplest things.

O trabalho na area da conservação e restauro de azulejos não me tem dado muito tempo para "blogar".

Sendo que o atelier também anda com novas peças, novos trabalhos e projectos.

Algumas peças estão a ser testadas neste momento, normalmente a primeira peça que faço, testo-a de acordo com a sua função e apenas após corrigir qualquer erro ou fragilidade é que passo a fazer novas peças para venda.

The work in area of conservation and restoration of tiles has given me no time to blog.
And also in the studio I've been doing new plays, new works and projects.
Some parts are being tested at the moment, usually the first piece I do, I test it according to their function and only after correcting any error or weakness is that I will make new pieces for sale.

A new candle holder II

And finally after painting with glazes and paints selected, the new candle holder is finished.
This is a passage from old to modern. Traditional techniques adapted to the objects of modern times.

A new candle holder

After the ceramic candle holder has been manufactured in the potter's wheel and was all cut by hand, was burned at 1000 degrees.
I am currently doing the study of the color and this one will be done especially in shades of blue and white.
The inspiration comes from Dutch and Portuguese pottery.
Beside the luminaria is a small column Dutch, restored by me, and a fragment of a Portuguese tile XVII sec.

Esta moldura para espelho ficou com umas cores lindissimas, estou francamente apaixonada por ela.

Foi toda modelada á mão e foram bastantes horas de trabalho. Valeu a pena.

This frame for the mirror got some gorgeous colors, I am deeply in love with her. It was all shaped by hand and have enough hours of work. Worth it.

Onde tudo acontece

A ceramica entrou na minha vida atravez da conservação e restauro de azulejos. Formei-me e trabalhei durante varios anos no museu escola de artes decorativas – Fundação Ricardo Espirito Santo silva, Na area da conservação e restauro de azulejos. Foi o constante convivio com a arte e a preservação dela que me inspirou a criar as minhas próprias peças. Nos ultimos anos juntei na gaveta varios projectos de peças que pretendia realizar e foi neste ultimo ano que investi e iniciei este tão esperado projecto. A conservação e restauro continuam a fazer parte do meu trabalho e paralelamente aplico todo o conhecimento que desenvolvi estes ultimos anos, aplicados na ceramica dos dias de hoje, tanto na joalharia como nos utilitarios do dia a dia. Este é o meu espaço de trabalho, é aqui que tudo acontece, neste fantástico equilíbrio que a natureza proporciona mesmo na mesa de trabalho mais confusa.

The pottery came into my life throughout the conservation and restoration of tiles. I graduated and worked for several years in a museum called the Museum School of Decorative Arts - Fundação Ricardo Espirito Santo Silva, in the area of conservation and restoration of tiles. It was the constant Living with art and the preservation of it that inspired me to create my own pieces.

In the recent years I joined in the drawer parts of various projects and was in this past year that I started this research and long-awaited project.

The conservation and restoration continue to be part of my job and at the same time I apply all the knowledge I have developed these last years, applied to ceramics of today, both in jewelry and utilities in the day to day.

This is my workspace, this is where it all happens in this amazing balance that nature provides even on the desktop more confusing.
