Iman fabric tiles

I always worked with restoration of old tiles.

Over the years, I've lost the  count of how many tiles I painted.

So I put to the fabric some paintings I had done.

And  these magnets were born.

Sending orders securely in paper envelopes

Last year, I bought a lot of handmade paper.

I have used this paper to do some packing, but meantime I thought of making envelopes.
I spent the whole week to structure the idea and  in the studio today I did the first envelopes.


The original idea comes from the need to shipped a  piece, and it has all the security possible while being beautifully packaged.

So what I did was use the paper made by hand from outside with a liner, also in paper, from within, and between the two, I put foam filling (dracalon is the name in Portuguese:)).

I got the sewing machine and ... here are the envelopes.

Handmade, a lifestyle choice

What's marvelous, behind handmade, is above all the history of each piece. What  exist behind it.
When I buy something made ​​by hand, I'm just not to buy something I need but I am acquiring a carefully crafted piece.
This simple gesture carries an immense positive energy, and I want that energy around me.

In my world

Sometimes work on your own can be very scary. There are so many fears and so many obstacles. have the ability to confront these fears and risk is not always easy.
But there is nothing better than being able to do what you love most. In my case I love create, I do not stop, there is always a new idea I want to try it, and in this new idea,another is born, and so on.
and sometimes when life outside the studio, give me hard times, is in my studio with my creations that my mind flies, and I freed from the negative and sad situations.
does not exist for me in the world, money to pay, the joy of creating.

I'm a moment of these, life out there, do not run the best way, but in the studio, the creations fly, and I'm completely in love with buttons.

Although being slower than I wanted, the new shop is already open.
A shop dedicated only to supplies with my ceramics.

Time goes faster

Without realizing it, have passed many days without appearing around here.
This time of year is always of hard work.
Orders for the new season, make stock for the local shops.
And the new collection appearing slowly.

The ceramic has these things:) needs time!
First the clay, creating, forming, drying and finally fired it. After painting, testing color,paint, dry and fired again.

It is slow but exciting.

Sometimes I compare myself to A child on Christmas Eve :) how many are the mornings that I, still in pajamas,  run to the studio to see how was the firing, and how became  the pieces (another advantage to living on a farm and no neighbors close by:))


 It is always awonderful surprise!

A sunny day

And finally, it arrived one weekend, who reconciled, a beautiful day with the absence of colds around here:)

A day like this is enough to recharge the energy. Nothing like feeling the sea breeze andwarm sunshine, to forget the cold winter days that are coming to the end.
